Learn how to set up StreamGuide and start tracking your movies and TV shows across all your streaming services.

Getting Started with StreamGuide

StreamGuide makes it easy to discover, track, and manage your movies and TV shows across all your streaming services in one place. This guide walks you through everything you need to know to get started, from downloading the app to making the most of its key features.

Step 1: Download the App

StreamGuide is available on Android via the Google Play Store. Search for "StreamGuide" or tap the download button on this website to be taken directly to the listing. The app is free to download and the free tier gives you full access to tracking and discovery.

After the install completes, open the app and grant any permissions it requests — these are used to send you notifications when new episodes of your tracked shows are released.

Step 2: Create Your Account

You can explore StreamGuide without signing in, but creating a free account unlocks data syncing across devices and lets you back up your tracking history. The fastest way to set up an account is to sign in with your Google account — it takes a single tap and requires no extra passwords to remember.

If you prefer not to use a Google account, you can also register with an email address. Your data is stored securely and is never sold to third parties.

Step 3: Select Your Streaming Services

This step makes StreamGuide genuinely useful. Open the settings and navigate to My Services. Select every streaming service you currently subscribe to — Netflix, Disney+, Amazon Prime Video, Max, Apple TV+, Hulu, Peacock, Paramount+, or any of the 50+ supported services. Once saved, the discovery feed and search results will be filtered to show only content available on those platforms.

If you subscribe to a regional or niche service not listed by default, you can still add titles to your watchlist manually by searching for them.

Step 4: Add Your First Titles

Now it is time to build your watchlist. Use the search bar at the top of the screen to find a movie or TV show you want to track. Tap the bookmark icon on any title to add it to your watchlist. For TV shows, StreamGuide will also ask if you want to receive notifications for new episodes.

You can also browse the Trending and New Releases sections in the discover feed. These are filtered by your selected services, so you will only see content you can actually watch.

Step 5: Track Your Episode Progress

For any TV series in your watchlist, tap through to the show detail page. You will see a season-by-season breakdown of all episodes. Mark an episode as watched by tapping the check mark next to it. You can also mark an entire season as watched at once by tapping Mark Season at the top of the season list.

StreamGuide tracks your progress automatically. The show card in your watchlist will show how many episodes you still have to watch in the current season, and you will see a notification when the next season becomes available.

Step 6: Use the Release Calendar

The Calendar tab shows a chronological view of upcoming releases for every show you are currently tracking. This is the fastest way to see what is coming out this week across all your tracked series. Tap any entry in the calendar to jump straight to the episode or season details.

Step 7: Discover New Content

The Discover tab surfaces new releases and trending titles filtered to your streaming services. Use the genre, rating, and year filters to narrow the results. If you are in the mood for a film but cannot decide what to watch, the Random button picks a well-rated title at random from your filtered catalogue — a useful antidote to scroll fatigue.
