Getting started is easy! First, download the app from the Google Play Store. Then create an account or sign in with your Google account. You can optionally connect your Trakt.tv account to sync your existing watch history. Finally, start adding movies and TV shows to your watchlist or mark what you've already watched.
StreamGuide is currently available on Android devices through the Google Play Store. iOS version is coming soon. Our development team is working hard to bring StreamGuide to more platforms in the near future.
No, you can use StreamGuide without creating an account, and your data will be stored locally on your device. However, creating an account allows you to sync your data across multiple devices and connect with Trakt.tv for a seamless experience.

Yes, you can rate any movie or TV show on a scale of 1-10. Your ratings help personalize recommendations and sync with your Trakt.tv account if connected. Tap the star icon on any title's detail page to add your rating.

Security & Privacy

Yes, we take security seriously. Your watch history and preferences are stored securely. If you connect to Trakt.tv, we use OAuth authentication, meaning we never see or store your Trakt password. All data transmission is encrypted.

Troubleshooting

If Trakt sync isn't working, try these steps:

1Check your internet connection
2Go to Settings > Connections and verify Trakt is connected
3Try disconnecting and reconnecting your Trakt account
4Pull down to refresh and trigger a manual sync

If problems persist, the Trakt.tv service may be experiencing issues. Check their status page.

StreamGuide uses TMDB (The Movie Database) for content information. If a title is missing, it may not yet be in TMDB's database. You can contribute to TMDB by creating a free account at themoviedb.org and adding the missing content. It will then appear in StreamGuide.

To resolve performance issues, try these steps:

1Make sure you have the latest version of the app installed
2Restart the app and your device
3Clear the app cache in your device settings
4Ensure you have a stable internet connection

Streaming availability data comes from TMDB and may not always be 100% accurate or up-to-date. Streaming rights change frequently between providers and regions. If you notice incorrect information, you can report it to TMDB directly, and we'll receive the updated data.
